Day 1: Recovering from Blackberry Storm Hell

Blackberry Storm is a big piece of shit works, it is completely un-responsive.  OSx support is non-existent and the entire experience is very frustrating pleasant.  [Update: Blackberry Storm 2 software has resolved many of my issues]

Here is a list of issues:

• un-responsive keyboard (or slow)
• slow camera response time (Shutter?)
• daily reboots (up to 4 times a day)
• no Apple OSx Support
• multi-tap in portrait mode is a big pain in the ass
• battery Life sucks
• constant lock-up during calls

New on Blackberry Storm 2

• improved home screen options (you can now view recent emails, calls, and calendar events on your home screen)
• improved keyboard/screen response
• new full key view in portrait mode (a little difficult, but improved over tap)
• higher resolution photos
• improved camera options (lots of improvement)
• improved battery life
• improved UI (smoother transition and app switching)
• Apple OSx Support
• OS seems to be a little bit faster
• improved calls (better keyboard response during calls)

If you have a Blackberry Storm and have not upgraded your OS, do it now.... before you throw it out the window.  It really is that much of an improvement.

*Blackberry (RIM), if you are readying this, congrats to your dev team, I can't recall the last time a Phone OS resolved so many issues and brought this much stability in one big swoop. But really, think twice about rushing something next time, your devs can only do so much ;)
